French Subjunctive Practice Cards - Il faut que This set of 50 study cards is meant to help students practice and master forming the French present subjunctive. Each card provides a sentence with a blank where the verb should be. The verb to use is written in the infinitive form at the top of each card. 25 cards begin with Il faut que, and 25 begin with Il ne faut pas que. Students practice using regular and irregular verbs in the subjunctive, and the English translations provided on the answer key will be most helpful as they come across new vocabulary and ways of saying things. None of the English translations begin with It is necessary that, because that isn’t the best way to say these sentences in English. French Connect 4 Game - ALLER - Present Tense This is a fun, quick, and easy way to have your beginner students review avoir in the present tense. In order to win, students connect four boxes by filling them in with the correct conjugations of the verb avoir, which is listed at the bottom of the game board. Subject pronouns are listed on the left. Students take turns filling in boxes until four are connected. At this point, they can check their work using the answer key provided. Playing French TABOO is a great way to get students to speak French and learn a lot of new vocabulary. This game is simple to modify and use with beginners and advanced students alike. You can use this classic game format to practice forming the PRESENT SUBJUNCTIVE. This resource includes 45 verbs.
